Dreams about being lost: a Jungian reading

You are walking somewhere familiar and suddenly you have no idea which way. It tends to be about a decision that has not been made — not about the wrong direction, but about there being no direction yet. That is why these dreams come back when something is ending and the next thing has not started.

It depends on how it looked

  • a familiar place that has changedthe certainty it all rested on no longer holds
  • walking in circlesyou are looking for the answer where it no longer is
  • late, and you do not know where topressure from outside without a clear goal
  • nobody can tell you the wayit is a decision no one will make for you

A question for you

Which decision are you putting off by looking for more information?

And yours is read symbol by symbol

This is what a dream dictionary cannot do: it reads the dream you actually had. You write it in your own words — a house you had never lived in, a small door under the stairs, a key that did not fit — and each of those images is taken separately, with what it may be carrying for you.

Then comes the archetype the dream is standing in — the Threshold, say — a reflection that ties it to your own chart, and at the end a question to sit with. Not an answer. A question.

A dream reading needs an account, because the dream is stored — that is the point: the meaning shows up when the same image comes back a third time. The account is free and the first readings are free too.

For some dreams interpretation is not the right response. If the text carries a signal of a real crisis, the app does not interpret the dream and says so.
