What a psychological journal is for
A psychological journal is a regular note about what you are going through — not a chronicle of events, but noticing what is happening inside you.
The difference from an ordinary diary is in the question. “What happened today” leads to a list of events. “What frightened me today” leads somewhere else.
Why it works
A thought that is written down stops being only a feeling and becomes something you can look at from the outside. That is the whole mechanism — not magic, but distance.
And above all: a pattern only becomes visible over time. One bad day says nothing. The same tension across eight entries in a row says a great deal.
How the app handles it
The questions are not repeated at random — they come from your chart, that is, from what is likely to be alive in you. You can go back to an entry, and the app looks for themes that keep returning across them.
When the same theme also shows up in your dreams, the app points it out — because day and night often speak about the same thing.
Your entries are yours. They are not sent anywhere for anyone to read, and they are not used for anything other than what you see in the app.
